Candidates for positions in local government
The Town of Marshall Democratic Committee is seeking qualified candidates for positions in local government in this year's November election.
The positions are supervisor, clerk/tax collector, assessor, town council and county legislator.
The committee is looking for people who are community minded and public spirited like the members of the committee who serve on the Town Board, the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals; who have led the cleanup of the Marshall Trail and Route 12b and who initiated the Ruth Allen Memorial Run and Walk and the American Red Cross Blood Drive.
Members have worked in collaboration with Republican colleagues to develop Marshall's new Comprehensive Plan and local laws passed in the last few years.
The Democratic Committee is reaching out for people who are prepared to continue this record of accomplishment, people who are willing to work together to improve the quality of life in the town.
If interested, contact Gary Ford at 821-7875 or Russell Stewart at 821-6122, co-chairs of the Democratic Committee of the Town of Marshall.
